I bought China Glaze Riveting the other day. It is gorgeous, sparkly, and orange. I was admiring the glass flecked finish and figured that it went well with some other CGs that I own. I grabbed 108 Degrees, Senorita Bonita, and Blue Iguana and painted them on top in a wavy, non perfect way. The colors make a perfect gradient, and then the blue makes a pop on the tips. They are flashy and I love them. I will definetly be using these colors together again.

Polish storage
I made my own wall rack, its 4 feet wide. I bought 1x2 furring strips and cut them in half. They cost $1 each at lowes and I used a total of 3.5 for mine. That made 5 shelves and the sides. It holds a little more than 200 polishes. It is also deep enough that I could add a thin strip of lumber across the front for earthquake prone places. Make sure you attach to studs in your wall. Originally I used drywall anchors rated way above the weight of my rack, but the drywall was too old and brittle and I dropped the whole thing. Luckily only 4 polishes broke. I need to add on to mine now. This is from when I first made it. The top is full and I have polish on my desk that doesn't fit. Luckily now I only buy super exciting polishes because I have the whole rainbow. It's rare for me to buy a polish now. Oh, speaking of rainbow, that's how I sorted the shelves now. Also each shelf goes cream, shimmer, glitter, flakie.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This manicure starts out with a base of Zoya Ivanka, then the tips are a fine gold glitter. I decided on the rainbow on the ring finger the day after. I used acrylic paint for those.

Essie Shine of the Times over Zoya Julieanne
I know a lot of people have seen this colour before but I just have to add my photos because it is lovely. It is Essie Shine of the Times and I put it over Zoya Julieanne which is a dark shimmery purple base. It really brings out the different colors of Shine of the Times. I missed the boat on sally hansen's Hidden Treasure, so I was super excited when this new color came out. Flakie polishes are so fun and I hope they can develop different color shifts. On the close ups of the thumbnails you can see the purple shimmer coming through.

Changing it up
Sometimes you want to change your mani up without taking off your old one. After a couple of days wearing my previous manure, I decided to do blue flakes on the tips. I used Motley from finger paints. It brings a nice blue and teal shimmer without hiding the base color. Then after a few more days I decided to try a stamp on top before taking the mani off. I have a total of around 12 coats of polish on my tips now because of all the clear I've used... My nails are grown out too much but I couldn't avoid wearing these for two days!

Finger Paints Special Effects in Twisted
This is one of the new flake polishes from the Finger Paints Special Effects collection. This swatch is Twisted. It is my favorite because it looks like rainbows. I have three coats over black because I wanted it to be extra intense. Depending on how the sun catches it, the flakes sometimes looks completely green. They are available at Sally Beauty Supply for a limited time starting in January. I begged the associate to get them for me and she did.=]
